Ricky Kidd Is Coming Out of the Shadows That Were Cast upon Him as “A Victor, Not a Victim”

In a perfect world, justice would be served to everyone on a gold platter. Sadly, that perfect world is far out of reach, and instead, you have to work relentlessly for that very justice you deserve. Even then, it is rare to finally achieve it. Such was the case of Ricky Kidd; a man who had to work on his own to break away from the shackles that bound him for 23 excruciating years.

The dark shadows of injustice haunted Ricky, obliterating every ounce of hope that he had within his heart. But he eventually fulfilled the vision with which he had entered the prison cell; earning a victory. He removed the tag of helplessness from his persona and replaced it with heroism. Now, running a full-time company called “I Am Resilience,” he is taking part in various programs and campaigns to assist other wrongfully incarcerated victims.

The idea behind “I Am Resilience” was for it to become a voice for the downtrodden. Whether someone is bullied, struggling with their identity, or being wrongfully convicted of a crime, Ricky aims to channel his resilience into others. Despite missing out on the most precious moments of his life, Ricky’s aim is “Activating Your Resilience”. He is using it as a platform to counter all the indecencies that suffocate individuals.

Ricky mustered all the strength he had to find a solution. He wants to evoke that same positive energy within others. After being released in 2019 – spending 23 years in prison – Ricky did not fall into an abyss of hopelessness. He stood his ground, developed a formula, and now travels all over the United States to share his story. He has had the privilege of conducting 90 speaking engagements in 3 years.

Branching out and reaching out to more people, Ricky has traveled to 21 states and has worked with multiple organizations. There is a certain passion with which he speaks; it enchants you and helps you to realize the importance of imparting positive energy. It was through consistency and minimizing distractions that Ricky was able to reap the reward of his efforts.

His right was given back to him in its most battered and murkiest form. The state still fails to fulfill its duties. With no compensation of any sort, Ricky was left in the desert without a map. Ricky, since then, has filed a federal lawsuit against the Kansas City Police for wrongful conviction. He hopes to rectify all the wrongs pursued against him and individuals who are in the same boat.

Ricky is a figure of hope and betterment. He motivates people to rip the label of “victim” plastered on their chest and to fight. Instead of being a victim, his compelling stories have helped him give birth to victors. Ricky has become a beacon of hope and is not going to back down any time soon.
