What Inspired Nicole Francis to Start 1776 Faux Farmhouse

Our world today is driven by DIY hustles. People love to explore their creativity and showcase them to the world through different mediums like blogs and social media channels. Nicole Francis is one such content creator who has mastered the art of creating and showcasing DIY crafts. Nicole, along with her husband Michael, owns the famous Instagram page 1776 Faux Farmhouse. The young couple is dedicated to their home improvement projects and renovation work and wants to share relatable and helpful content with the community.

The creative duo and their beautiful littles quickly became a hot favorite after showcasing their creative side on their page. The aesthetic and top-grade work by Nicole and Michael got much appreciation from their community and inspired other homeowners with a passion for home styling.

Today, Nicole is a well-known face on social media and a reliable source for DIY home design and projects, but only a few know her inspiration behind 1776 Faux Farmhouse. While social media does feature the highlight reels of their projects, the meaningful insights of their lives are what truly depict the soul of this dream project.

Working as a teacher in elementary school, Nicole found her inspiration when she and Michael bought a builder-grade, average home. Her love for creating projects made her envision a place for the whole family to enjoy and make it feel like home. She started with small renovation projects and eventually progressed towards bigger ones requiring more time, effort, and resources. And when her ‘Little Miss’ was born, Mama Francis realized that her teaching job wouldn’t be worth it, and she decided to turn her passion into a full-time job with her littles in tow. “Teaching is a noble profession, but politics and lack of pay make things difficult. I could either pay for child care and make essentially nothing to not be with her, or I could be with her and make the same,” says Nicole.

As one can expect, she opted for the latter, choosing her family over her teaching job, giving life to 1776 Faux Farmhouse. Today, Nicole works with big brands and promotes their products from her social media page, but she also offers DIY courses and plans for individuals with the zeal and zest to create something magnificent on their own.

To witness Nicole & Michael’s journey visit their Instagram page, 1776 Faux Farmhouse, and get some inspiration for your next home renovation.
