Nurturing Nature’s Secrets: Romy Schraenen’s Voyage of Discovery as a Naturopath and Sound Healer

“What you seek is seeking you” – Mawlana Jalaludin Rumi.

The rhythm of the universe has its unique flow. The minute you start flowing along, it takes you to mysterious routes and brings you face-to-face with your purpose. Such is the story of the Naturopath and sound healer Romy Schraenen

Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Romy initially set her sights on a career in law. And as anyone would have, she invested every bit of herself into getting the grade that qualified her for law school. However, this intense pursuit ultimately led her down a path of exhaustion and burnout, catapulting her into an unexpected adventure.

In the summer, Romy decided to volunteer in Costa Rica and Thailand, unaware that these experiences would unlock a purpose she never knew existed within her. The allure of these far-off lands beckoned to her, and she boldly took a gap year before embarking on her legal studies. Little did she know that extraordinary encounters would define the next chapter of her life.

Her journey led her to a Maasai village in Kenya, where she immersed herself in a different way of life. From there, she ventured to India, delving into the profound teachings of yoga philosophy. As she traversed these foreign landscapes, the epiphany struck her: her true calling lay far beyond the realm of law. With unwavering conviction, Romy continued to explore, prioritizing her well-being and inner growth, forsaking the glitz and glamor of city life for the wonders of nature.

Enlightened by her newfound purpose, Romy realized she had discovered something profound that needed to be shared with the world. And so, her quest to deepen her understanding of ancient healing techniques commenced—a realm separate from the realm of conventional pharmaceuticals yet indispensable for holistic well-being.

Eager to expand her knowledge, Romy enrolled in a natural medicine degree program at the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine (SPCNM) in Auckland, New Zealand. This decision marked a significant turning point in her journey. During this period, she discovered the transformative power of music, which she integrated seamlessly into her healing practice.

Reflecting on this addition, Romy explains that music uniquely can instantly penetrate the depths of our being, inducing a state of peace and tranquility within the body. By reaching the parasympathetic system—the gateway to rest and restoration—music facilitates physical healing at a pace surpassing conventional drugs’ capabilities. In our fast-paced modern lives, attaining this harmonious state is no easy feat, but Romy’s music acts as a bridge, guiding us toward profound well-being.

Today, Romy aligns the art of sound healing with the principles of natural medicine as she endeavors to awaken and uplift those who cross her path. Her goal is to share the profound ecstasy she experienced when she courageously redirected the course of her life.

To stay connected with Romy’s extraordinary healing practices, visit her Instagram and prepare to embark on your own transformative journey.
