Working at the company of your dreams and gaining huge recognition is an accomplishment on its own. A chance like that would, of course, be allowed by everyone. Whenever major companies offer significant roles to individuals, they use their best abilities and never let their employers down. Similar is the case with Bill Garbarini, an experienced operations executive who has developed creative strategies to take companies to the next level.
With an in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare, he became a founding employee at one of the foremost fertility companies, TMRW Life Sciences, Inc. While at TMRW, Bill helped create a new architecture for frozen embryo storage. His role gave him access to progressive ideas while serving as an important building block in a startup company.
By introducing new freezing methods within IVF clinics, he paved the way for IVF startups and businesses to embrace the latest technologies. A robotic storage platform for vitrified embryos and oocytes was developed using Radio Frequency Identification, establishing the foundation for the world’s first automated robotic storage platform. By using this technology, the appropriate specimens were transferred.
During his tenure at TMRW, he developed strategies to bring the company to the forefront of the biotech industry, earning it the title of No. 1 Most Innovative Biotech Company. A commercial system was implemented, over $150 million of equity capital was raised, and the core product was developed under his guidance. Additionally, it was an impressive success combining medicine and information technology.
In addition to authoring the first financial model, he also created operational workflows to make the system clinic-compatible. Using a combination of creativity, hard work, and passion, he launched several first-in-class products during his career. It is this creativity, insightful leadership, priority development and unwavering commitment that has helped drive success in each of the organizations in which he has worked.
Through his pragmatic and insightful approach to performance optimization, he systematically helps his clients generate real-time results and motivates them to improve. In IVF, he has chosen a healthcare sector that can benefit from further advancement in terms of patient care.
Recently, Bill was named COO of Conceivable Life Sciences. Conceivable has a mission to change assisted reproduction by increasing access through the introduction of robotics and automation in the embryology laboratory. Every year, approximately 20 million people worldwide are confronted with the fact that they cannot have children without IVF. However IVF is accessible to barely 1% of those worldwide who need it. If all intended parents were able to access IVF, 10 million babies would be born annually rather than the present 1 million. Conceivable is aiming to be the catalyst that changes the current equation.
