Art – What It Means for Steffi Rodigas?

When you hear the word art, what comes to your mind? Perhaps a famous painting like the Mona Lisa or a well-crafted sculpture like the Bavaria Statue.

For an artist, the word art holds profound meaning and value. It is their idea of expression and a way to define something that holds a lot more significance than just beauty — a deep-rooted connection.

Redefining the term art, artist Steffi Rodigas is known for her creativity and talent reflected in captivating artwork.

Born in a small town in Germany, Steffi’s most fond childhood memories include the scenic views of the Thuringian Forest and spending time with grandparents making Christmas ornaments and glass jewelry.

Witnessing her grandparents handcraft these items with great attention to detail fascinated young Steffi. It sparked creativity, nuance, and a love for nature, enkindling her passion for art.

Even in the most difficult days of her life, Steffi managed to make art a part of her life, although life with 3 children was never easy for her. After graduating from high school, Steffi was pushed into studying to be a teacher. In order not to completely renounce her passion for art, she decided to become an elementary school teacher with an art component.

This way, she could at least encourage the students with her talent and expertise in art. Social and personal reasons led her to find herself in a variety of jobs throughout her life. At times, she was in Christmas ornament making, started a small transportation company, served as a school principal and for the last 16 years as a social educator.

In 2012, when she first explored the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand, Steffi’s passion for creativity reignited and led to a life-changing decision. At the age of 58, at the height of her social pedagogy career, Steffi decided to dedicate her life to art. She left her secure job and paved her way to freedom.’

Full of enthusiasm, Steffi picked up a paintbrush and the color palette that finally gave her a sense of completeness. There was no stopping her from stroking the brush while her imagination gave her wonderful ideas. There were so many stories to tell, opinions to express and landscapes to appreciate that Steffi felt fulfilled. As an artist, Steffi creates masterpieces that are unique, like the art within the art.

For the past several years, there has been no stopping her creativity. She has developed new techniques and styles, creating her own identity in the art industry. Steffi is recognized worldwide by several associations and has been awarded several prizes, including the Zeus International Art Award—Lecce, the ATIM`s Top 60 Masters’ ‘ Award—New York, and the Donatello International Art Prize—Florence. In November, she was among the honored artists in Washington.

Why follow trends or norms when your own imagination can take you to unattainable heights of success? Be enchanted by Steffi Rodigas’ brilliant artworks, check out her website and follow her on Instagram to keep up to date with her latest masterpieces.
