Movement is Healthy, Stagnation is Deadly – Says Dr. Amberleigh Carter

Our general routine and lifestyle can be characteristically defined by phrases like being a couch potato or having a sedentary lifestyle – they indicate a lifestyle with little to no activity. Our personal and professional lives revolve around passive activities like binge-watching Netflix, playing video games, or sitting with a laptop for long hours. This inactive lifestyle is a surefire way to inevitable health complications.

Movement has been proven to profoundly impact our mental and emotional health. Whether one does a morning walk or evening yoga, incorporating regular movements like these can significantly improve overall health. Dr. Amberleigh Carter, with her focus on alternative and holistic healthcare practices, strongly advocates for daily movement.

With a degree in Exercise Science, a double-minor in Neuroscience and Psychology, and being certified as a former Exercise Physiologist and Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiologist, Dr. Amberleigh is on a mission to help people adopt an active lifestyle that benefits their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. She believes that movement is healthy, while stagnation is deadly. One can see this philosophy in practice by observing stagnate waterways, with bacterial overgrowth, versus a moving stream of water, constantly structuring and cleansing itself with movement so that it’s drinkable or useful.  This philosophy can also be seen in Dr. Amberleigh’s own personal and professional life.

Dr. Amberleigh’s beliefs about movement emerged from her own health issues during college life. Despite cutting on calories and doubling down on doing cardio, she was gaining weight and took on various health issues. Gradually, she found the formula for health: the right combination of whole foods and strength training.

She incorporated the right amount and type of movement in her life, leading to better health and fitness. Now, she teaches her clients the art of implementing proper diet and exercise. She has developed a unique approach to health and wellness with her education and own personal experience, in addition to being a board certified Alternative Medical Practitioner and a Doctor in Metaphysics. She considers that movement is beneficial, not only on a physical, but mental and emotional level, as well. She argues that when we are stuck in a rut on an emotional level, we find it difficult to move ahead in life, which causes physical and mental stagnation.  Her research in the metaphysical and quantum physics realm, also supports this when looking at the subatomic level behind all physical and mental energy.

That is why, Dr. Amberleigh has continually highlighted the benefits of an active lifestyle: to get the energy moving in both the mental and physical bodies so that the stagnate, deadly energy gets released so that new, cleansed energy gets reinvigorated into the body, which creates a healthier physical body and better mental health.

In addition, research has proven that a sedentary lifestyle causes various health complications, including obesity, high cholesterol and blood pressure, diabetes, and depression. However, an active lifestyle reduces the chances of manifesting these diseases. It also helps combat stress and brings mental clarity, leading to a more optimistic perspective, which is why Dr. Amberleigh suggests including consistent movement in one’s daily life.

For her expertise and productive methods, Dr. Amberleigh is a highly sought-after speaker and regularly shares her insights on her podcast and show on YouTube. She is also a successful consultant and a one-of-a-kind in the holistic health industry. She is changing how people think about health by empowering them to adopt an active lifestyle and seek happiness in movement.
