Coronavirus, the University of Shanghai: “34 invisible cases that have infected the world from China”

The coronavirus has spread at an impressive rate. The reason? For a study conducted by the University of Shanghai there were ” 34 invisible cases that have infected the world from China”. The result is the result of a mathematical model with which it has also been concluded that cases increase tenfold every 19 days. These are infected who escaped any clinical observation, perhaps because they had mild symptoms, as reported by the MedrXiv website and developed by the group of the Fudan University of Shanghai directed by Yi Li and Meng Liang .

The same mathematical model, based on the cases detected from 21 January to 28 February, indicates that containment measures are indispensable. “The dynamics of the spread of the virus is complex – the authors of the research draw conclusions – and it continues to vary in the rest of the world”. In fact, 100,052 people are infected with the coronavirus in total, of which almost 20,000 outside China.
