The ‘Jack of All Trades’ – Holistic Content Creator and Social Media Influencer, Armeen Jasavala

In today’s era of “hustle culture”, content creator and social media influencer Armeen Jasavala opens the secret door to living a more balanced life through slowing down, practicing gratitude and mindfulness, and taking the time to do things in life that fulfil oneself, in order to bring true happiness. She emphasizes creating genuine connections and forging an appreciation of nature, and promotes living a thoughtful lifestyle that helps unleash the idea of exploring holistic, healthy and natural approaches to living. In doing so, she creates an environment where an individual can feel at ease and embrace the present moment.

Armeen was born and raised in Canada, but has been living in Mumbai, India for the past ten years. She deeply understands the dilemmas of cultural contrasts and the fleeting sense of belonging because of this multi-faceted life experience in two extremely varied countries. Jasavala believes that finding one’s true happiness is intimately aligned with one’s interests and passions (often stemming from childhood) – to which her journey is a testament. As a child, she was keen on sports and was an integral player on various competitive sports teams. Along with a personal tragedy, this interest in physical activity led her to study kinesiology, with the hopes of becoming a medical doctor. She completed her Bachelor’s in Physical Health and Education from the University of Toronto, but during her studies, she discovered a course relating to Holistic Medicine, which intrigued her inquisitive nature. She says, “What appealed to me was that you could actually spend time with a patient, trying to get to the root cause of the problem instead of treating it on the surface. Using a holistic approach addressed not only the patient’s physical health and/or symptoms, but also examined their mental/emotional state as well. Holistic medicine also emphasizes prevention of illness (through the use of various natural medicines, approaches and therapies), which is critical for many reasons.”

After graduating with a diploma in homeopathic studies from The Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine, she travelled to India to complete her master’s course under the guidance of vastly experienced homeopathic physicians in Mumbai. Her brilliant and unique personality helped her secure a position at the academy as an International Co-ordinator and Editor. She was also a part of the Sampoornam Healing Team where she organized Holistic Health Retreats, helping individuals on their healing journeys  through homeopathy, meditation and mindfulness, connecting to nature, movement, art, and music therapy.

After seven years of working at the academy and running a small private practice, her passionate and empathetic nature made her a subject of compassion fatigue and with great difficulty, she decided to leave her work. During her break from work, she circled back and reconnected with her old interests: i.e., music. She also has a Youtube channel where she records herself playing heartfelt music on her ukulele, guitar, and piano.

Jasavala has also prioritized a plant-based lifestyle, which led her to a new and exhilarating passion for creating recipes. Not stopping at this, she has managed to take her new power to Instagram, where she has created a significant organic following.

The content creator along with her husband always dreamed of living outside of the city in nature and would frequently travel before the pandemic to get this experience. Together, they have been to over a dozen countries and love to experience different cultures around the world. During covid, they realized the importance of their dream even more and decided to purchase two acres of land, a barren hill, outside of the chaotic city of Mumbai, where they have planted a staggering 700 native trees and built a small cabin for themselves. They have created a forest haven that has a thriving ecosystem, where they hope to grow their own organic produce. She and her husband visit their cabin every weekend with their four puppies, spending time in their growing forest, trying new combinations of plant-based food cooked on fire, producing soulful music inspired by the surroundings, and most importantly, connecting with their inner selves, “Finding the right balance requires one to focus not only on nutrition and exercise, but in creating harmony between mental, physical and emotional health,” shares Armeen.

Additionally, as an Instagram influencer, she documents her everyday activities, giving her audience an authentic experience of nature, music, animals, wholesome food, and tattoos.

Jasavala is also an environmental enthusiast and believes in doing what she can to contribute to the planet, especially keeping it sustainable and green for future generations to come.
